One dead, one critical after Sydney Harbor Bridge crash

One lady is dead, two men have head wounds and a subsequent lady is caught in her vehicle after a genuine accident that shut the Sydney Harbor Bridge on Thursday morning. 

A Mitsubishi Mirage voyaging north and a BMW voyaging south crashed at the Millers Point access to the extension not long before 7.15am with individuals from the two vehicles harmed in the accident.

Police Association NSW secretary Pat Gooley, who is stuck in the rush hour gridlock himself, disclosed to 2GB that drivers in the line expected to quit making U-goes to get themselves out of traffic. 

"What we do have is individuals doing U-turns, and we have crisis administrations attempting to advance on the opposite roadside," he said. 

"Individuals need to quit doing these U-turns, it's excessively perilous." 

A NSW Fire and Rescue representative told NCA NewsWire that three individuals were caught and their condition was obscure. 

"Fire and Rescue are working with all administrations to remove those individuals," he said.
